Neurobiology of Emotion and Learning

Our Research Mission:

The Jasnow Lab mission is to understand how brain circuits control behavior. We are most interested in mechanisms controlling fear and stress as well as social and drug-seeking behaviors. We strive to understand how brain systems, genes, and neurotransmitters interact to regulate adaptive and maladaptive emotional behaviors to identify common mechanisms of mental health and disease. Our research is relevant to human anxiety disorders, Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, and addiction.

Work in the Jasnow Lab is funded by the National Institute of Mental Health and Private Foundations.
